What Is the Formula for Ecommerce Conversion?
Ecommerce conversion rate = (completed transactions divided by total sessions) multiplied by 100. If a store receives 10,000 sessions and completes 200 transactions, the conversion rate is 2%. Always track conversion rate by device and traffic source separately. A 2% blended rate can mask a 3.5% desktop rate and a 0.8% mobile rate. Those are two different problems that require two different fixes, and the blended number hides both.
